The Firenze Race Team attended the Motor Valley Fest in Modena on 1 and 2 July 2021. We exhibited the simulator’s prototype that we’ll use to train the neural networks of our next driverless car. The adventure began on June 30th when our boys went to Modena with the necessary equipment. Our stand was in the Cloister of the Faculty of Law of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Besides us, the Cloister hosted other Italian Formula Student teams. We shared experiences and knowledge, and we discussed the relationship with the sponsors. We understood that each University manages its teams in a different way. We will make treasure of the advice that the others gave us.

This experience allowed us to introduce our project to interested people. We also explained our work in English, because we chatted with some guys from the United States. This was a useful exercise in preparation for the static tests of the Czech Republic race!

We thank the Motor Valley Fest for the invitation and the University of Florence for granting us the authorization to take part. It was an educational experience that allowed the team members to bond even more and get to know each other better. We are proud to have brought the name of the University of Florence and all our sponsors into an international environment like the Motor Valley Fest.
